On the first day of session 2017-2018, KIMT organized path of Shri Sukhmani Sahib to seek the blessings of almighty. Faculty gave a warm welcome to the students with their inspiring words.
Lohri was celebrated with festivity & fervour by staff & students of KIMT. In line with Punjabi tradition, Lohri bonfire was lit along with presentation of `boliyan, giddha & folk songs' by students.
Diwali was celebrated with devotion, enthusiasm and excitement. The decorated campus added charm and religious fervor to the atmosphere as the students were in festive mood. Moreover, students organised Diwali Fest and sold different kinds of handmade candles, diyas etc.
KIMT organized Teej Festival at the institute premises in the month of August in which students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.
KIMT organized a cultural function "Aagaz-N Aagman" in the month of September to welcome the freshers'. Various competitions like Flower arrangement, Fashion show, Rangoli, Singing, Dancing and many more were held.
On 22' January, KIMT celebrated Basant Panchami and organized food festival to teach the concept of consumer and buyer relation to the students.
KIMT, in association with NGO "AHSAAS" celebrated International Women's Day. AHSAAS's President Mrs. Sangeeta Bhandari was the chief guest and also telecasted women oriented movie `Padman'.
Students of final year were given a warm send-off by their juniors. The juniors bid adieu to the seniors with cultural performances. A fashion show was also organised on the occasion. Dhwani Dhir bagged the title of Miss Farewell and Megha Verma and Akashdeep Kaur securing the first and second runners up positions respectively.
To seek blessings of Almighty, Morning Assembly is organized once in a week. Students from various streams get an opportunity to showcase their presentation skills.

A workshop on understanding Android environment and App development was organized for the com. App. students. Mr. Anshu Aneja, Director Ansh infotech discussed the importance of Mobile App. Development in Android. A seminar on "Changing Social Values" was organized by Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO). Advocate Hari Om Jindal was the chief guest.
