Reservation Policy For Rural Area Girls

To promote education of socially, economically and educationally backward girls from rural areas, 70% of the seats are RESERVED & scholarships are also provided to these candidates if they fulfill the remaining conditions for admission.

Note: Rural Areas & Rural Candidates

The term ‘rural area’ applies to those areas which are situated beyond the limit / jurisdiction of the municipal committee / corporation, notified area/ cantonment board/ township and university campus of any city/ town of Punjab. If within the last 10 years any village has been either declared included in a municipal committee / notified area / cantonment board / township and university campus, it will be considered rural area in keeping with these rules. This reservation for Rural candidates is for the Bonafide residents of Punjab and such candidates should mention their category in the application form.
